The Literacy Council's mission is to improve the lives of adults and their families through literacy education that teaches people to read, write, and speak in English.
We are an ecumenical and nonpartisan organization of clergy and faith leaders from across Alabama supporting public schools and the students and teachers in them. We are an affiliate of Pastors for Texas Children.
Our research and training programs enable young scientists to pursue research on health disparities, while our community outreach program identifies urgent health questions and needs and implements strategies to reduce health disparitiies
Cahawba Christian Academy provides a Christ-centered environment through Christian teachers, and Christian curriculum. It is our desire to challenge and inspire each student to glorify God by responsible actions in our modern day society.
